Are you talking about being a metro player and living in Adelaide and wanting to play in the country champs with a country team?
You need to have a country address (living) outside of the boundary for country / metro. You need to play in an affliated country association and be verified as a local player / signed off when team nominations are sent prior to country carnival.
When a country player moves to adelaide for senior school. ie. boarding at private school etc. As long as the parents still have country address they are legal.

Each Country Association has their own by-laws governing what players are eligible to play for their associations representative teams at Country Champs. Eligibility for SAC state teams is another issue. Anon 277928 touches on this rule.
