Breakers GM resigns + other NBL news

Peter Chapman, general manager of the New Zealand Breakers has resigned from the position.

An article on stuff.co.nz also mentions that Blake Truslove is a good chance to be recontracted "for his development work".

Bryant Matthews (played with the Bullets this year) has been signed by the Huntsville Flight in the NBDL. He had 6 points and 3 rebounds in his first game, including a game-winning put-back. Other NBLers in the league are Reed Rawlings (didn't he play for Perth briefly?) and Kirk Penney (NZ).

Are you sure Chapman resigned?

The article states that. Are you suggesting that he was fired or has not resigned from the GM position at all?

He is to remain with the club in a limited position while they negotiate contracts for the 2005/06 season.

Is definitely leaving but I think resigned may be the polite way of putting it
