Breakers keep Webster, but with conditions

"In determining the clubs response, the Breakers organisation decided that it will help no one to simply cast Corey adrift. Instead, we have put in place a strict set of conditions with which to comply in order to remain a Breaker. He will also have to face whatever sanction the Sports Tribunal determines for him in terms of his international aspirations."

In addition to apologising to his team mates, club staff, sponsors and members of the Breakers Academy Programme, Webster will be involved in a personal mentoring relationship with Breakers and Tall Blacks veteran Dillon Boucher.

Probably not a bad decision by the Breakers. It would have been a lot easier to just cast him aside and offload the problem.

agreed LC, I think they have done the right thing in trying to help him in the right direction. He's only young and having someone like Dillon Boucher mentor him will be a big help. At the end of the day it was only dope, he will feel like an idiot. Breakers have put the fear of god in him and he still has to face sanctions imposed.

Hopefully it will bring the guy back down to earth. Has a huge ego and very cocky. I still remember him saying before his debut nznbl season that he was going to average 40 a game and that the heat would win the championship
