David Andersen Traded

According to twitter Andersen has been traded to Toronto for nothing basicly.
Houston get a 2015 2nd rd pick.

Probably more chance of court time in Toronto so it could turn out to be a good chance for David.

Let's hope Andersen gets a chance to see more court time weith the Raptors.

Raptor's website: http://linky.com.au/q028f

Other centre / forwards that Andersen would eb competing for court time with include: Bargnani, Nesterovic (FA), O'Bryant (FA), Dorsey & Jones. I don't think the Raptors will re-sign O'Bryant now, and who knows if they sign Nesterovic or not.

No Deal!!

He will be a good fit in Toronto. There just wasn't enough room in the Rockets front court for him. Hopefully he has a good year in canada!

Raptors also have Amir Johnson, Reggie Evans and Ed Davis.
So it is a pretty crowded Frontcourt.
You would think they will do some more trades.
Evans is expiring so he may be gone before the season starts.
Bargs, Amir and Davis are definately infront of Andersen.
So he will be battling with Dorsey, Jones and Evans for back-up minutes.

I think this could be a good thing - they've lost a big offensive threat in Bosh, so if they put Andersen in and let him play to his strengths I think he could make a difference for them.

In Hollinger's insider article he described Anderson as a "Euro softie David Andersen wasn't cutting the mustard as a backup 5"

Tend to agree with him - he is scared of contact and IMO will struggle to produce anything substantial in the NBA.

Bizzy I agree with the quote only because Andersen's natural position is at the 4
