Brazil will be boasting Varejao, Barbosa and Splitter, whilst Nene has been replaced on their WC squad due to injury.

If anyone is up this late (early), please post an online link to watch the game if you can find one somewhere.

No idea who is broadcasting the game.

Great win considering the break between our last competitive game.

BA Recap: http://linky.com.au/wbtyl

Joe Ingles had a very good shooting night, going 4/5 from the field and 3/4 from long range.

David Barlow continues to struggle to get in the rotation, only getting 5 minutes. MAric only played 12 minutes as he gets used to the team.

Outstanding result...would love to watch that game.
Hopefully, this isnt following a bit of a trend where the Boomers play great in the warm up events and show teams all their cards.

Not going to poo poo the result though, as Brazils frontline is good with sideshow bob and the big spit.....even without onenut.

Look forward to seeing how barbosa plays in this tourney knowing he has a new club to go to after the event.

Certainly a good win. Again though our offense (based only on the boxscore) seems to be a little staccato. We hit on 41% of our shots, lucky for Australia Brazil hit a terrible 35%. It is a touch worrying that we only squeaked by in a game in which our opponent hit only 35% of their shots. Also Mills top scored yet his shooting percentage was only 38%, lowest on the team. I would be far happier if he became a pass first shoot last PG. Sometimes I wonder if Mills scoring 20 odd against the USA in Beijing was a real negative to his development.

It appears that the style developing for this team is one of tough, infuriatingly inefficient offense, and fantastic frantic defense. With that concoction it looks like it will be a nerve wracking World Champs.

Bad mood Curtley? Why not just give Ingles credit for a very good game and move on.

Judging by the boxscore and the write up, our defence was once again good, but it was those 17 TO's that really hurt us.

Is it correct to read the darker names in the boxscore as the starters? If so, it looks like Brown went very small and mobile with Nielsen at centre, Wortho and Ingles at the forwards spots and Mills and Gibbo in the backcourt.

With Bogut out and Maric not yet integrated, I think Brown has made a good decision to go for small ball. The risk is getting killed on the boards and giving up too many easy shots, so nice to see Brazil's shooting percentage was poor and that our wing players in Ingles and Newley, and Andersen too, grabbed 20 rebs between them. They certainly held their own against a very good rebounder in Varejao.
