World Champs-Final: USA vs Turkey

Should be a great game but you'd expect the US to win the gold.

The game is on early Monday morning at 3:50am.

Yep. Durant is gonna prove why he is in the top 3 players in the world! I reckon Serbia would have matched up better on the yanks...

Number 1 player after next year taking miami heat to 6 games in the nba finals and winning.

Back out of fantasy world. I actually think the turks have a good chance. Well they suprised us aussies in Gallapoli, so i think they have a suprise for the USA. Turkoglu has to step up his game like the season he played with the magic and they have some pretty decent players including Onan, ilyasova, Erdan, Asik, tunceri and arslan.

I liked the look of Omer Asik in the Turkey/Serbia SF. I'm not sure if he will be playing for the Bulls next season but they've got a good investment there in him.

Taking into account pure basketball ability, in my opinion Durant is the best player in the NBA now. Kobe's still number 1, but on skill alone Durant is the man.

Should be a good game USA v Turkey though. Might have to get up early and watch.

In many ways Durant already has more weapons than Jordan had. Of course, Jordan's greatest weapon was his ability to win, win, win and win some more, and Durant has a long way to go to get there. Only young though.

Andre Iguodala said at the press conference yesterday that he thinks Durant will be the all-time NBA leading scorer by the end of his career. Big call!

USA won 81-64, winning the World Championship for the first time since 1994.

Durant top-scored with 28, Odom 15 and Westbrook 13 for the winners. Turkoglu scored 16 to be the only Turk reaching double figures.

Lithuania defeated Serbia for the bronze medal, 99-88, dominating the 2nd and 3rd periods. Kleiza bounced back to lead all scorers with 33 points, while Velickovic led Serbia with 18.

Argentina defeated Spain to secure 5th place, winning 86-81. Delfino had 27 and Scola 22, while Fernandez racked up 31 for the Spaniards.

Oklahoma need to trade and get a great centre and then i reckon they could match miami heat. I mean Durant yer we know wat he can do and then theres russell westbrook who i thought was one of the best players on the USA campaign winning gold and if they get a good hard banging centre then boy would they be good. Imagine Dwight omg. Durant, Superman and Westbrook. Then need a defensive specialist who can shut down wade.(Sefolosha) and perimeter shooting(Harden, Cook, Peterson) and they also have they salary cap space to get dwight. Get rid of Kristic, collison and jeff green.

Dwight/Aldrich/Mullens
Ibaka/Amundson/DJ White
Durant/Peterson/Stackhouse or Devean George
Sefolosha/Harden/Cook
Westbrook/Maynor/Ivey

How good is Lamar Odom he is such an underatted player. To step up and play the 5 spot on the world stage and win gold is incredible and i mean win 2 championships and pushing celtics to 7 in another over 3 years without rarely missing a game. I mean we seen him play the 5 spot for usa and then he comes in for the lakers and he can handle the ball shoot outside shot, rebound, block shots he is so VERSATILE!
