One of the more spectacular season starts?

The NBL really has kicked off with a bang. So many great highlighted in just the first 2 televised games.

McCulloughs alley oop
Winders alley oop
Winders mother of all blocks
Corlettos half court bomb
Khazzouhs all round game/domination
Tigers rookie with sick behind the back then jam move

SO many highlights in just the 1st 2 televised games. To me it seems like nearly a years worth of highlights from previous seasons in just 2 games. Im interested to see what other people think on this: Have we had a particularly highlight filled awesome start to the season or is it just me being really excited about the season in general

I think all those highlights being regularly repeated by the broadcaster makes it seem that way. But yes, some very nice plays in those two games, let's hope it continues. Abercrombie time on Wednesday!

Here are some more nominees for a top ten:
- Matt Knight block and dunk to finish at the other end
– Carter's steal, dribble through opponents legs and finishing with the stuff
– Damian Martin’s block on Brad Hill (??) in transition
– McCullough’s baseline drive and dunk from under the backboard
– Damien Ryan’s buzzer beater at the end of the first quarter
– Tragardh-Nevill alley-oop in the last quarter
– Rhys Carter’s no-look pass to Jake Holmes for the bucket
– TJ Campbell’s drive and score over Khazzouh in the second quarter
– Darryl Corletto’s one v four driving tear drop in the third quarter
– McCullough going at Nevill for the dunk, Nevill blocking it but Taj still getting it to roll in

Winders Dunk HAS to be the BEST first score for an Adelaide player. To open your NBL career with that Alley oop is insane.

I agree though that there was alot more action, maybe the NBA rules are better for the game after all.

I do like the 3pt line distance, really seperates the shooters from the wannabe's.

Here is my televised top 10 plays
(I heard Freeman had a couple dunks too)

10. Corletto's 1 on 4 scoop shot
9. Tragardh's alley-oop to Luke Neville
8. Dann's lob to a flying McCullough
7. Matt Knight with the block then jam
6. Damian Martin rejects Brad Hill
5. Rhys Carter's between the legs then jam
4. Craig Winder's swat over his team mate's back
3. Lucas Walker's behind the back and jam
2. Darryl Corletto's 1/2 court prayer
1. Winder's alley-opp and the foul

Imagine the top 10 once we have cameras at every game. Wow wee, bring back plays of the week
