trophy suggestion - youth league

as an incentive to our new competition i would like to suggest a trophy for the youth league.

it could be called the "......" trophy after an esteemed identity in bsa.

this trophy would be based on a clubs overall performance in youth league - similar to the stanley h lewis trophy in the sanfl.

ie youth divison 1 - 100 pts for 1st, 80 for 2nd etc

then div 2 - 70 pts for 1st, 55 for 2nd

then div 3 - 50 pts for first, 35 for 2nd etc

then there would be an overall trophy awarded to the club best performing.

--------------------------------------

you could have a trophy for overall senior results - ie abl 1st 200 pts, 2nd 150 etc

reserves 1st 150, 2nd 100 pts

div 3 1st 75 pts etc etc

---------------------------------------

it is a chance to add some incentives and respect for bsa identities by establishing a trophy in their name.

3rd = 65
4th = 50

and so on..

Some would argue the State Champs are enough (eg Sturt)

Then again, The 2010 "Jack Toft Plate" is held by another club!

Refer the post "Amateurs and Juniors thinking too high of themself"

A mini-Brownlow would see a lot of heads the size of blimps
