Thats funny )))) the coaches are as well. In fact most sturt coaches are from other clubs and most mavs coaches are ex sturt players.

Oh mavs, please don't become one of those clubs that do this on the forum. Let your loudest statement be on court not on the Internet!

I guess it was the same when Eastern ABL girls were known as "The Tess Madgen Mavericks"

They starting writting that the Maverick were making finals and going all the way, but as the season started and they lost and lost and lost those posts became few and far between.

Good luck Eastern, No really good luck!!!!!

Isn't Eastern the domestic comp of Sturt or is it their feeder Group

Eastern will get nothing in 12s and 18s (have not played the top teams at full strength yet, Sturt will be a test). 14s are open with 3 fighting for number 1 and 16s will win. Will be an interesting last round against sturt. Doing a lot a better which is really good for the comp.

Interesting if MAvs is sturts feeder club then why are sturts teams not getting better. Maybe time to recruit some more kids from the feeder club/s.

I hope that was sarcasm.

Can't wait till they put their ABA team on the floor as well, without Madgen.

It's a disgrace and one BSA have to own having Mavs in a district comp for one and then Mavs not fielding teams in the comp.
Every team that has been the victim of the regular forfeits by Mavs should receive the forfeit money not BSA who day by day are starting to resemble Scrooge, act like Dirty Harry and drive basketball in this state like the captain of the Titanic.

mavs? Wow nice sledge! Shame the rest of your program sucks ... Come on here and talk yourself up and then get brought back to reality, then have a go at the coach of your only win of the night. you knob.

who are you calling a knob, if sturt who are a fairly talented team had a coach that didn't yell and scream at them everytime they do something wrong they might respond a little better, but if you think that paul ids doing a good job with the u/16 sturt girls well you obviously have no idea of what you are talking about. that sort of yelling rubbish went out in the dark ages when ian laurie was coaching you knob

Maybe that "yelling rubbish" is working. Some people call it coaching, ie telling your players that they are doing something wrong and that they need to change their behaviour asap,

And Mavs coach had to resort to yelling himself. But I guess those Mavs superstars are a bit too prescious for that.

Mavs, who is the knob now?

Be clear the Mavs coach and players took great pride in "rubbing it in" when they last played the sturt girls, at least the Sturt coach and girls DID NOT show the same disrespect on Friday night!

sturt girls played well on the night, mavs girls way below their best, but coach for sturt had umpires in his palm by 1 minute in the game and kept them their. mavs girls will learn a lot from that game, first loss in almost 1 year and will be back in winter stonger for it.

do not know what game you were watching on that night at Mount Barker but mavs staff and players were purely professional and did not do anything to make you think what you have stated, coch called a time out with 15 econds to go to work on an out of bounds play and was called everything by sturt people. what better time to work on a play, as if no one else from other clubew do not do the same thing.

what is it about that Sturt club that makes you think that your players and coaches are the best sports going around because they are no different to everybody else.

it is about time you people woke up and smelt the roses

"but mavs staff and players were purely professional and did not do anything to make you think what you have stated, coch called a time out with 15 econds to go"

You just contradicted yourself. An "FU" timeout is probably THE least sporting thing you can do, it's just rubbing it in and is inexcusable. Real classy, guess karma came back in the finals...

What you consider a "FU" time out is actually considered teaching by others.

Just because Sturt coaches use "FU" time outs doesn't mean other coaches have the same arrogant, negative attitude when they're coaching juniors.

Well, along with all the Mavs supporters here trying to justify a basketball edicit.

Ask a certain Victorian coach who has won multiple National Championships the response he got when he tried to justify the same thing to National selectors when he was told it was the reason why he will not be considered for a National position because thee is no excuse good enough for a time out in the last 2 minutes when you are up 20 plus.
