Winter Season - Seniors

Sorry if this has been covered before, but I was just wondering what is officially happening for winter under the new (and unimproved) seniors program?

Reserves is Monday night, yes? Given most, if not all ABL squads train on Mondays, is it expected that Reserves will just become the old division 3, seeing as that used to hold the Monday night slot? And will Div 3 be made up of old division 4 teams etc?

Does anyone know which clubs will be fielding their traditional 'div 3' teams in the Monday night reserves comp?

BSA and their anti-over 22yo ABA reserve players theory have made it clear they have no care for anyone who isn't qualified for U23 grade to be able to play extra minutes in Div 2 mens. In their explanation (BSA) to the clubs when none of which actually wanted U23s to exist, they made it clear that the new "Reserve" competition should be treated as U23 Div 1 and no Div 2 mens, so Div 2 mens is basically the old Div 3 mens competition, and Div 3 men what exists now is the new Div 4 and lower. As we've seen in the past, BSA do what they want and sit in a room devising what they think is best, when really they're clueless as to what is best for the competition. So it's good if you're U23 and in the ABA team or borderline, but if you're 23 or older in 2011 and playing reserve type minutes in the ABA you wont be able to get your decent minutes any other night of the week.

Most ABA teams that I have heard of wont be fielding their ABA or ABA reserve players in the Monday night competition, instead run their Div 3 teams, most clubs started doing this at the start of summer.

Tuesday night can't be a Reserves competition because there are so many ABL players, including bench players, that aren't eligible.

Expect every possible combination of Div 3 sides, ABA reserves, U23s, the occasional U18 and ABL starters on a Monday night. Hopefully coaches talk to each other about the standard of teams they are fielding so there aren't too many lop sided games.
