Over Milking the same cows.

It seems across the women's district scene the same faces are seen in U18, U23 and senior women and even ABL .Many players play across some and even all of these comps. Apart from inflating the numbers playing basketball it creates its own problems. A lot of players are playing in 2 or 3 of these groups plus training twice a week and surely its overkill. Are there any rules at all in basketball?

Maybe it's a plan to get Pura Milk back as a major sponsor?

Uddernonsense, this is also happening for the guys in that age bracket.

It is not surpising, it was predicted:

Youth league leads to more opportunities to play, for less players.

Yes its nonsense.

Have a look at the scores in YL1 women.

The games are all blown out by so much there is no development happening as it did in the previous system.
The Div 2 / Reserves system, was one of the best systems in Australia for players. The standard has fallen incredibly and the competition is in danger of being worthless to ALL clubs, those being beaten and the ones winning by large amounts.
ABL programs now have disjointed programs with some using Div2 some using YL and a combination of the 2.
Perhaps listening to the clubs when they submitted a request for 2 over age players would have made a hell of a difference, but its disappointing that the result is as we predicted BSA
