Blake Griffin named Rookie of the Year

Blake Griffin played his entire rookie season like a man making up for lost time.

Now that the Los Angeles Clippers' dynamic dunker has been named the league's top rookie in a landslide, he's already thinking about ways to improve on a delayed NBA debut that was well worth the wait.

Griffin accepted the Rookie of the Year award on Wednesday, becoming the NBA's first unanimous choice for the award in 21 years.

Best rookie in a long time. To have that kind of athleticism after a serious long term injury is just staggering.

They say he is the first rookie since the Admiral to get all the votes, how the HELL did Shaq not recieve the full amount as a rookie avergaging 23 in a horrible team!???

Side note, I love Blake Griffin and will do until he retires with scoring rebounding crowns and hopefully some titles!

There was another fellow who also happened to be a rookie that year. His name was Alonzo Mourning who averaged 21.0 pts, 10.3 rebounds and 3.47 blocks.

Some tradtionalists preferred the play of Zo above the bash, crash and smash of Shaq.

Griffin is a good player but sadly will never win the scoring title. Very athletic with a lot of power...He will probably turn out like kemp with averages of 22 and 12 for his career
