NBA Finals - Game 2: Mavericks @ Heat

Game 2 could well set up the rest of the series...

- Can Dirk's finger stand the Heat?
- Will Dallas shoot as badly as they did in game 1?
- Can the Heat shoot as well from beyond the arc as they did in game 1?
- Will the Mav's bench stand up and provide the scoring that was missing in game 1?
- If the Heat out-rebound the Mav's again will that translate to another win?

Looking forward to the game!

Starts 11am AEST.

Dwyane Wade stepping it up in the 2nd to keep Miami in touch. Wade has 16 points on 8/10 shooting to lead all scorers.

Dalla's bench easily outscoring Heat bench at this stage.

Haha, no foul on Wade there? If Dallas fans cry again about preferential treatment, I will refer to that break.

Dallas are making simple turnovers, missing open shots & Dirk's playing badly but still in the game halfway through the 3rd.

Wade having troubles at the free throw line (4/8), but he has been unstoppable so far with 27 points (11/15) and 6 assists.

Miami up 71-63 with just over 2min left in the 3rd.

Amazing game, even as a Heat fan, that was brilliant! Could be a great series after all.

Let's be honest; regardless of who you support, as a bball fan you really want close games like that.

Great to see it came to another series of Clutch plays.

Miami only scored 3 points to Dallas' 16 in the last 4 minutes of the game (Dirk scored Dallas' last nine points)!

That might be the difference between having a 'go to guy' and having 'go to guys', everyone on the team knows the guy they must get the ball to at clutch time.

Love to see the series go 7 games if they are all similar to this!

Dirk is getting a lot of props, but I think Marion deserves a mention too, he has been big in this series. Especially today when Dallas (Dirk & Jet) were struggling, he was keeping them in touch.

Agree about Shawn Marion. Gave them some offense today and is a consistenly good defender.

Wade was awesome in this game and I reckon he thrived in the fact that he does not get all the defensive attention these days as he shares the same team as James.

But this time Miami did not make as many big shots as Dallas.

Rarely does a team sweep the three games at home but at least the Mavs have given themselves a chance and they've been in both games so far. Games 3 - and 4 - get very interesting now.

Can imagine Dallas going up to Miami now, after 2006, with the phrase ..... "Happy learned how to putt. Oh, oh."

Funny Mo,

Interestingly both Miami and Dallas teams each have only two players on their rosters who have remained with their teams since playing in the 2006 finals (and neither team has the same coach)
