It looks like a great year ahead for the lightning after a few bad years. If only the Sixers could have a turn around as well that would be great!

Lightning are looking good. Wonder if Motts might get a bench roll?

See thats called proactive recruiting in the offseason. 36ers take note, so far the signings have been weak.

Anon - The 36ers have treid hard to be proactive - went for Gibbo early. Went for Schensch. Going for Irvin. The palyers don't seem to want to play here. If we had Gibbo and Schensch on the team, we'd would be looking sweet - where they want to play can't be controlled.

So far it appears that the Lightning have kept only one player, the obvious one, from last season, along with getting a new coach. There are plenty of top women's players looking to get a roster spot in Australia in preparation for the 2012 Olympics. Competition for a position in the Opals will be tight and it appears that many are also heeding the call to forego playing overseas to ensure the best possible result for the Opals.

That seven would be sufficient.

Just add Borrego for part season , to get thru to a large public.

Great signings for the coming season. Is it noted that the new coach is also an Opals assistant coach!!

Great signings by the lightning.
Think it is worth noting that the WNBL does not have a salary cap, should Adelaide or Canberra choose to buy a team there are no restrictions.
NBL is very different.
