Changes to NBA.COM

Is it just me or does nba.com not seem to be publishing any photos or quotes of current players on its home page since the lockout began? It appears only ex-players, coaches and David Stern are getting their heads and words there.

Is this to piss off fans (the way SLAM magazine only ran posters of Shawn Bradley while the last lockout was on) or is is it a legal thing?

Wow your quick! Its all to do with a little thing called a LOcKOUT! All contact between players and teams are a no go, and all advertising using CURRENT players has had to be removed. Its all over sites like hoopshype.com...they arent afraid to call it how they see it.

i read something along the lines of 'the players dont want to promote the nba brand, so the nba wont promote the players personal brand'

If you go to players the select a play it just shows the team logo..
They should have fun with it and get charles barkley to put on every uniform and upload them instead

Pre-lockout, but nevertheless a good backgrounder (via ESPN's TrueHoop).
