Cats in front to sign Bogut

Reports on Wildcats web site that Bogut contacted the Cats in intrested to play for them. I think he played for Bevo alongside Martin Robbins and Kight with the Emus. Having a owner like Jack Bennett wouldn't hurt with his Billions of dollars .

If playing in australia, Bogut would always give Bevo the first option. They go way back (Emus). IMO if he comes, he will come to Perth.

If the Wildcats pay the insurance he could play for the Boomers...

Why wouldn't BA go halves and go through OAMPS - a mojor sponsor of the NBL?

Doubt any signing talk is serious yet. Bogut was quoted as saying he would wait to the first week of Oct to make a decision, when he'll have a better idea of how much of the NBA season will be played

If Perth did manage to pull it off, I reckon we might see a sold out Adelaide Arena for the first game on October 8th.

Beantown, he might sign up earlier just so he can play for Australia next week.

Nevill has been cleared to play for Perth tonight, so if they have room for Nevill, they would be able to make room for Bogut instead.

bendat.
Totally fan freaking tastic if any team scored Bogut to be honest.
Word is they had a 6 hour meeting yesterday and neither side was willing to give on anything.
Lockout will prob go awhile maybe.

Wow even more reason why Adelaide shouldve recruited Bevo when he was open to the idea... That coach gets it done!

Awesome news even if it is the Wildcats who i loathe that have the 'league cash cow' playing for them!

Already close to being the best team and with Redhage, they probably are. They will be absolutely unstoppable with the league's nastiest backcourt (and I mean that as a compliment) and a ridiculously talented frontcourt. Wow. If the AFL is investigating mid-season trades, can other teams trade for Bevo mid-season?

Bogut just tweeted:
"I can confirm I am in talks with SEVERAL @NBL clubs. A long way to go yet though....Stay tuned kiddies!"

from a purely boosting crowds perspective, mills at melb and bogut at perth is the worst outcome. they are the two smallest stadiums. the best result, once again, purely from a boosting crowds perspective would be to have one in adelaide and one in syd, the 2 biggest stadium. would likely result in 8,000 and 10,000 sold out games every week. but instead, melb and perth both only hold around 4,000. not a massive worry tho, just sayin. and im fully aware that they will play road games too and likely sell out other those arenas.

Hasn't Perth just built a new high capacity stadium?

Where have all the guys stating they are not getting season tickets gone.

@igotmadskills Perth Arena not finished yet, that will be Cats home from next (2012/13) season Capacity 12k
The AB deal could be one year to early as he would certainly help fill it.

Breakers fit 35000 into NSEC (regularly filled to capacity last season) and will be playing 3-4 games at Vector Arena which can seat over 12 000.

Sydney would be good for the league as they have the stadium and population to make it worth while along with the fact that they only just came back into the league so anything to help them secure more fans would be beneficial to everyone.

Looks like Kings have made a move now for his services! GO KINGS, would be MASSIVE if the Kings got him over the Wildcats for the NBL.

especially as Perth are already have a strong team and fan base. Would be great to see Sydney pack out their stadium every week with Bogut.
