Shawntes Gary to Big V side

Have it on good authority that Shawtes Gary is in discussions with a Big V club about suiting next season!

He would absolutely destroy the Big V if they could pull off this coup!

Desawntes Gary is a star. He will run rings around anyone in bigV don't expect who ever he plays for to run any offense but would makes some entertaining basketball for sure.

Ringwood are the only team with the budget. They won't have Corletto so why not load up with Gary he will average close to 45ppg!!

He wouldnt be going there for the money as he gets paid to play NWBU and SEABL. Budgie must be going to rob a bank to pay him!!!! He also has a very good agent who will be looking for opportunities in Europe for him.

Shawntes is on a set wage to play in both comps in North West Tas, it is a part of his contract to play both. Its the same for all imports that play for the Thunder.

So does he get paid the minimum imports wage to play 2 games a week. Have to be on more than that.

Thunder's SEABL licence is held by the NWBU, and a part of their by laws is SEABL players must play NWBU. A NWBU team will pay money to Thunder towards imports wage but not a seperate wage. Import players are put out to tender to NWBU clubs by the Thunder.

Sounds like there are some advantages with that system.

Big V clubs would be silly not to look at him! He would be NBL calibre in the right side. Can get his own shot whenever he likes.

@ Isaac Money wise it is good for Thunder, but player wise its a long season for Thunder SEABL players.

Playing two games a week is a tough gig!! In the cold it makes it a hard long season on the body once you throw in training as well!

You would think with the bank balance of the eltham wildcats they could possibly be there as well? Long shot but if Tron Smith does not return to the vennom he could be there, but no a chance

Shawntes would have played 50 games over the SEABL season. 26 with Thunder and 24 with NWBU. Mainland teams dont realise how tough it is on players in Tassie. Show me another SEABL import that would be required to play that many games in that period of time.

Eltham would be committed to Tigers players??

If it is in the Top division ir would be Ringwood as noone else has deep pockets (No DC/Hill/McMillan frees upa spare $65k)

He'd want $40k plus so Smokey might be Mildura/The Bool or Venom from the lower divsions
