Club fees for playing rep ball in Melbourne

How much does your club charge and what do you get for the money ? Is every club including all training fees in the annual fee - and do you have to pay more if your club is playing in the Eltham/Dandenong and the Nunawading tournaments .

Some clubs seems to charge $400 per year but just wondering what you think is fair to charge for a good program ?

Waverley has a good program and they're only $300 a year, incl. 2 tournaments

Ringwood juniors was cheap (ish) last season. $240 I think and $10 a week for the sheet. But they don't pay the coaches. No training fees. Uniform, training singlet and warm up top compulsory. Track suit, bag etc optional.

Altona is $250ish from memory. Kit is extra. My youngest played three tournaments last season. The standard of training is good for those playing in the firsts but varies from team to team for anyone playing on a lower team. There you can get anything from a great coach to a reluctant parent.

knox is good value for junior ball...might want to look elsewhere if you intend to play senior rep

I have a friend whose association benchmarked themselves across Melbourne.

They found Hawthorn to be the most expensive - something like $550.00 per season + team sheet fees.

Hawthorn train at private school venues hence the high program cost. Sandringham is the most expensive for Junior ball in melb. Generally the clubs that own their stadiums are the cheapest. Most clubs are well resourced for first teams and coaching level drops as you move down teams in an age group.

Re Sandringham fees of $625.00. Would love to know why these fees are incredibly high... Just seems and awful lot of money? Would hate to have siblings playing as well...
