sixers33, you can email me a question like this if you want. Doesn't need to be on the forum where it won't be of interest to 99%+ of people. Yes, I co-wrote a technical book. I think my chapters were Visual Elements, Using Color (written for the American market) and Layout. I think I used the 36ers website of the time as an example in one of the chapters.
All good Isaac. Its good advertising. I plan on buying this book at some stage.
Is this a mock thread? Really appreciate if this was removed. The past is the past, please don't dig it up.

AK-47, it was a large huntsman, down at Goolwa.
'948, I imagine a good amount of the book is out of date by now. It was written a fair time ago.

I am sure I read this thread before, with the same response from Isaac.
Or is my flux capacitor on the blink again?

How many copies did it end up selling if you don't mind me asking? and was it a simple process to get someone to publish it?

The flux capacitor is definitely on the blink!
Where did the spider come from? It better not be a rock spider.

Not sure - would be guessing. There was a royalty statement that detailed the number of sales at some point, but I can't remember what it said. I seem to remember 30-40,000, but could be off by a huge factor. I remember finding the book in Borders in London at one point.
I was put forward as an author to the publisher by one of the other writers.

The spider was just walking on a wall, like a normal huntsman.

30-40,000 copies!! Did you make much $$ bling bling for it Isaac?
Rule of thumb for publishing is you get your money back after selling 2000 copies, everything above and beyond is cash in the pocket!

I got an advance and then nothing after that as the advance covered the further royalties that arose. All up, it was an interesting experience, but not worth it based on $/hr. Wouldn't take 30,000 copies as gospel - could be remembering a different number from the statement; also remember it was split between four authors, based on chapters written.

I'm with DB. I remember a similar thread a few years ago. May have been started by Brad or The Anwser.

i was bored so i typed in Isaac Forman in google that's all. It's not such a good idea for him to be so open to the public in details etc.

It's a bio available within a publically sold book. Not really under my control.
