Interesting no quotes about the coaching staff on the website when receiving the awards.

Easy choice. I've enjoyed watching his improvement as a scorer.

Theres thanking your coaches and then theres going to the lengths that both daniel and mitch did to thank them for the countless hours the coaches have spent withvthem improving their games this season. lets not turn this into a marty slanging match, both players clearly credit him and mark for their improvement.

That extra coaching attention should help us retain both guys services for next year.

Only issue is if Marty gets the boot will they both walk?

Countless hours?

Isn't that what the coaches are paid to do? Coach players like Johnson and Creek on a full time basis?

Given the Tigers are looking to rebuild and are desperate for a big Aussie, DJ might be offered a lot of money to move to Melbourne.

Thinking back to the Gibson episode last year, Johnson seems to be doing the same as Gibson - testing the market and seeing if the 36ers want him enough to match it.

Oh please, its all about money! If Clarke is here or not, as long as the $$$ figure is what they want, they will sign. Loyalty has retired with the stars of the '90's/early 2000's.

Marty's only selling point on keeping his own services is that all these players will leave if he goes, they wont. They will follow the money, if Clarke is here or gone.

That loyalty was likely paid for at the time.

and i hope marty took note on the trophies - best defender - Mitch Creek. marty that means put him on the court when we need good defence, not sit him on the bench while you have both ng and warren out there!!

DJ and Mitch both spoke very highly of the coaching staff in their acceptence speaches.
Could this be seen as an admission that the players are responsible for the poor results this season if the coaches deserve a praising?

A question folks, not an insult. If anyone has an answer or a different way of understand this speech, please advise.

Can easily be a combination of both, and I suspect it is.
