Is it the Greece A, B, C or Z team?

Greece A team...why would Greece send a B or C team ahead given they play in the Olympic Qualifying tournament scheduled to start on 2nd July? This is Greece's last hit-out before heading the Venezuela for that make or break tournament.

Olympics Qualifying Tournament

Make no mistake, this will be Greece's A team and Brazil will be sending their women's A team too as preparation for the Olympics...

Should be a excellent series then and give a good indication of where the Boomers stand in the world rankings.

As LC said, Greece will send their A team. They'll go straight from here to Venezuela for the Olympic qualifiers.

Brazil bring world class team to face Jayco Opals

It is a B team, effectively an U24 team. Some of the guys in it can really play:

Nikos Pappas - a superstar at the 09 U19 WCs and one of the best young guards in Europe (leading scorer at 2010 U20 Euros)
Dimitris Katsivelis - a star at last year's Euro U20s who has been signed by Olympiakos
Haras Giannopoulos - one of the best bigs in the Greek league at just 22 and league MIP this year
Dimitris Verginis - a sharpshooter who had an excellent World Uni Games last year

While those guys are good, there are also quite a few guys picked who were promising juniors but are yet to make a big impact at pro level, including Aron Baynes' back-up at Ikaros.

I expect theyll be much better than the Argentine team a few years ago, but a close to full strength Boomers should account for them comfortably.

Im also not sure how good a test our bigs will get. They look like they will have a couple of big lumps in true Greek fashion, but their most talented frontcourter is Giannopoulos and from what I know of him he is more of a 3-4 perimeter player.

Good old Nikos Pappas - I remember him sooking it up big time back in 2009 at the U19 Four Nations tournament when the Emus (led by Delly, Broekoff, Motum, Ellis, Cadee, Page and Young) gave the Greeks an almightly touch up.
