No, Popovch sures up his rotations come playoff time. 8-9 deep max! Patty could be towel waving toward a ring though!
Spurs wil go deep but wont win it in my opinion.

Tony Parker is in career best form. Duncan s best year out of the last couple. Spurs are fun to watch.... Hope Patty gets some burn but I dont see it... (garbage only)

What Patty did prove was that he can play and if an injury or something else comes into vogue he is ready to take the court and hic coach should have the confidence to play him where he needs him.
That being said, it's the playoffs and coaches will be less risk adverse, so I expect he will see less time or no time in close games but he has earned his spot on this team and could be considered as part of the future starting line up in an aging team.
Spurs have as much chance of making the final game of the playoffs as anyone, better than most too....!

Bear is spot on, he showed he can flat out play in those last couple of games. That wont get him into the rotation (as today showed) but if there is an injury or the team is struggling and needs a spark he is more likely to get the nod than if the playoffs started a couple of weeks ago.

What Patty has always done is take full advantage of every opportunity presented to him - such as the 61 points in the two games he started. What this means is that the current backup point guard, Gary Neal, will have to bring his 'A' game each and every night, or Patty could quite easily jump in and take some of his minutes.

Out of curiosity, has Mills started any other games apart from the last two of the regular season? There were reports about Lin scoring 109 points in his first 4 starts, an NBA record. Mills might be on par with that. ;)

He had 9 points in his first start @Utah on Apil 9 (He did only play 24mins)
His combined numbers for his 3 starts are:

He'd need a big game to break Lin's record (if indeed it is)

Patty with 9 points on 4/5 shooting (1/1 3PT) to go with 1 rebound, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 turnover in 14 minutes as the Spurs blew out the Jazz in game 2.

Great to see Patty log some playoff minutes. Interesting that he played as many minutes as Gary Neal. That's a good sign.
