Rumour- Wilkinson to Sydney

Not sure if this has been posted but in an interview on the Utah State website he mentions possibly going to Sydney. Article is from June 11.

What's up next for you and your family?
"Right now we're looking to maybe head back to Australia to a team in Sydney, or other avenues in Europe. It's still pretty early so we're just hanging back and let it all sort itself out."

Not happening. Kings going with a guy who hasn't played in the league before.

They talked to Wilkinson but now its said they are going with someone else. Might be signed by now. Heal said they were very close to signing.

Wilkinson to the Crocs if they can't find a good back to the basket player and he is still available at the time

Love when the players get the crowd goin! Sad part is if they do they get hit wit a tech! Would like him in perth! Knight redhage n wilkinson! Let tovey go had a few points in hand and an import aswell!

He WAS very close to signing with the Kings. He has also had serious talks with at least 2 other NBL teams (not including the Breakers) during free agency.

But he won't be a King for 2012/13.

I think he would have been a perfect fit for the Kings and great for the crowd as well, so I was really disappointed when I heard that Shane went with someone else... He didn't say if it was his choice or Wilkinson's, but definitely going for an unproven import in that spot, so hopefully Shane hasn't shot himself in the foot...

Heard that their contract kept having additions and changes made. I guess Heal put a final date on it then had to move on when it wasn't finalised.

D Smith isn't a 4-5 and has signed in Israel.

Smith isn't returning to the NBL anytime soon, very doubtful he ever will.

Kevin Smith is NOT the second import. He's coming in as a naturalised player. Kings about to announce a new power forward shortly.

Deios58 is talking about KEVIN Smith.. Not Donta Smith.

KEVIN Smith - Signed with Kings. Naturalised.
DONTA Smith - Not signed. Unlikely to return to NBL again.

New Kings import is a NBL newbie.

T-Rex & BJF,

Got an official NBL link that he is signed? Nothing on the front page of the NBL site or on the transaction tracker.

The Kings might have signed him (assume it's true) but the NBL haven't signed off on it yet so it's not official.

Annon - Smith has signed. From Kings HQ, Shane Heal & his agent.

Also, here is another link about his signing

Not according to the NBL he hasn't.

The last player any NBL team signed was when the Hawks re-signed Tyson Demos.
