3 Man for CABL GF's??

So with the way its shaping there are going to be some good referee's (with past CABL Grand Final experience) missing out on Grand Finals this year

Are they looking at running 3 man for both the Mens & Women Grand Final??? Is it an option??

With Ref's like:

Durant
Weiland
Filmer
McDonald
Devlin
Just

Very LONG shots but:
Domeika
Frost
White
L Smith

And no this isnt time for ref bagging (as much as we all enjoy it :)

You have not even had any kind of final and rightly so
Your not, bad but your not the best either
Even with 3man so give it up

Also you forgot Michelle Dyson & Nikki Ireland but for what it's worth I agree that Mcdonald & Filmer on the mens and Durant & Wieland on the womans final

Regarding 3 person officiating then yes they should do it for finals but I doubt they will

Realistic, just is on the way out. He had a gf the other year, but hasnt developed much since than. 3man would be good to see.
Ian D would be next in line.
That is unless they do the political correctness and put Ireland in and have an even amount of 3 boys and 3 girls.

I am of the belief that all of those referees have done it at nationals, so if they do decide to go 3 man i am sure it wont be the embarrassment of the other year when they tried it for a few rounds....

The complaints regarding 3 person officiating is not that they don't know how to do it but that it changes the way the game is officiated. The teams are used to being able to play a certain way which is restricted with 3 person, coaches & players alike get frustrated at the sudden change in style they were being allowed to play.
If they want to use 3 person during finals then as a league they need to bite the bullet & have it all season long. The issue with this is the extra cost to the association & ultimately the clubs.

There's no way Frost should be refereeing a final of any kind. Lacks people skills and is really just not very good.

Smith and Domeika from the second tier are alright.

The web shows prelim officials are Wieland doing men's with Benny Mac and Dyson doing the girls with Durant
Ian & Vanessa reserve

My question (genuine) is, what happens if the 4 who do the prelim final don't ref well??? or at least one or two of them.....

Do they get rewarded with a Grand Final or cut?

If they get cut, do the reserves get rewarded with a Grand Final without having to perform in the prelim Final?
