John Gilchrist had some NBL interest

This is taken directly from John Gilchrist's facebook page....wonder which 2 teams were after him....

John Gilchrist

"Unfortunately 2 Australia team jobs that were interested are off currently the table at the moment and I passed up S.America and Macedonia (Adriatic League) teams through situational decision but hopefully sooner than later God blesses me for a good team to see fit to use my services.
Meantime I am I'm at home currently training everyday for when my number get's called I'll be prepared. Patience/Diligence is a Virtue...

let's see, not Perth, NZ, Cairns, Melb, Syd, Adel, I doubt the Hawks were interested, so that leaves Townsville? hmmmm, maybe he was talking SEABL teams for next season??? I can't see him with any team in the league at the moment to be honest.

I know in the past he has said that he would be willing to play SEABL to prove himself again. However it did not happen whether it was money or something else.

In his first game, against the Cairns Taipans, Gilchrist scored 20 points and added 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Get him back this league is growing and needs more guns like this!

Melbourne, Townsville and Wollongong were all looking reasonably recently. NZ might have had a back-up plan if Jackson didnt come back. Who knows?

Crocs weren't interested/didn't make contact.

I know Tigers did, but i'm unsure if there was any REAL talks. More just putting the feelers out there.

Last season he played in the Kosovo Super league and before that in Slovakia, but I take it that you know that already just to make a point.
