BigV State Championship Div is a fairly strong state based league but good venues? You've got to be kidding, most of them are terrible.
Also the best victorian teams and venues participate in SEABL.

QABL won the last couple of National Championships and would still be as strong if not stronger than SEABL at the top end.

LOL, the only league stronger than SEABL in Australia is the NBL.
SEABL is now the second tier national league.

QABL stronger than SEABL.I dont think so!!! Hard to judge which of QABL,SBL and Big V would be stronger.SEABL is 20 points stronger than those leagues.

Then how did Carins win the last 2 National ABL Championships and beat SEABL team?

Cairns were a great team but 1 team doesn't make an entire competition... Lets not forget the nationals were largely a waste of time because most teams treated them as a piss up.

I been told that a couple of guys in Melb are looking to bring back the Club Champs, but more of a knock out invitational on 1 weekend in 1 venue with the teams playing for cash.

I'm lead to believe it is a crew out at Eltham that are slowly trying to put something together but looks like the biggest issue is venues and clashes with NBL as at this stage they plan to do it in September.

^^ Further to that i guess at least if Eltham are putting it together it will be well organised & run.

Because it drains the pool in Victoria... The state league in Victoria: BigV State Championship is actually more like a 2nd division competition because the 10 best Victorian teams play in SEABL, that's why SEABL is mentioned.

Agree with the above, Victoria is in a unique situation of no longer having a true state championship. The Best 9 Victorian Teams play SEABL.

BigV state champ div would be like the old 2nd div.
