Australian College of Basketball

The Australian College of Basketball played against a young Tasmanian team this week and lost by 3. Are they taking the best players into this school or just people that can afford to go there?

HECS debt to chase the "dream". Naive kids go there get out with nothing and a $50 K debt for a "life experience".

Better off playing state league and heading to a prep school, JUCO or doing a tour over to the states if you want to go to college.

Wasn't just any "young Tasmanian team".

Tasmanian Institute of Sport scholarship holders in the main - the head coach you may have even heard of:

Justin Schueller.

The best kids are getting scholarships at college, these are 2nd tier kids with money or hope, I hope they get something out of it.

Yes they get something out of it, a massive hex debt.

This program also takes away eligibility years for American Colleges.

False Advertising with the tab on their website regarding College in the States! If I was a kid that went into the program wide eyed only to find out that the program misled me and took away opportunities, I'd be getting legal advice!

I watched the game. Australian college of basketball spent the whole warm up dunking! Had to laugh when one of the Tassie kids dunked it in the 4th. All the ACB kids were shocked!

I know a few of the people at the ACB and none of them have made a state team. Waste of time. Enough said.
