Delly is in fine form

Matt has shot 31 points his last two games both with a field goal percentage over 70% really impressive by the big fella. Hopefully he can keep this form up and shine against some big name teams such as Gonzaga and we might even see matty in the nba next year!

Obviously not playing in the toughest conference, but those shooting percentages from the field, three, and free throw line are pretty amazing.

55% from the field for a PG? Pretty damn good.

Interesting to compare Dellys stats with Steve Nash's college stats from Santa Clara.

Not saying he will be like that but you would like to think someone will take a punt on him come draft time.

Here is an article written comparing Delly to Patty Mills during their college careers as well as a few other point guards.

That article lost me when it called Patty Mills' 30% three point shooting "impressive".

That's either a typo or whoever wrote it doesn't know much about basketball...

Or one misstep from an otherwise enthusiastic amateur writer? It's on a site for trainee media students. Go easy!

Mills' three pointers always come when needed most.

Ned Kelly was well loved by the natives.

He should be peaking in time for Rio, Would be nice to have Dell at the 1, Mills at the 2 and hopefully if Bogut can get himself right the bigman in the middle. We just need another strong forward maybe Jawai if he's still playing and someone young like Clint Steindl to take the next step and develop into a Kirelenko type 3 point shooting small forward.

Don't ever mention Steindl and Kirilenko in the same breath, Cera77.

Kirilenko is awe-some, whereas Steindl will do well not to be aw-ful.

I hope our Country Vic boy gets the right press before draft time, however it's still months away.

The NBA draft is as much about the hype as it is about teams looking for the best player to suit their structures.

If Delly continues along this way he can do no more, it's then up to the NBA

Good call on the three way rotation of Delly, Mills and Exum in a few years time, we need to look at our youth now for the future and these guys will be near the top of the tree for guard spots...

Not sure how much improvement Mills has to come though, maybe there will be another young hot shot shooting guard option who comes along?

Cera77 big call..... wow we need a 3 but that is a big call. are you Steindl mum or something?

but looking at a 3 there might be a suprise out there laying around - plus ingles will only be 28/29 at that time

Has struggled in the last couple of games. With lack of options at the Gaels with the departure of Jones and Steindl and the demands of being the no 1 option against better teams Delly is just as likely to stink it up. Taking some ridiculous shots needs to reign it in a touch.

Delly scored 24 points against Yale and Set new smc record for career 3 points made with 239.the article notes that Delly went back to being the main scoring option after being the distributor the last few games.

After watching Jimmer Freddette's game develop in the NBA this year i can see a place for delly in the the right team.

I think a knock down shooter who can also pass when required will get his shot....maybe a good tourney run would help his chances!

Delly had a bad scoring night against Harvard, but he was still able to rack up 9 assists!

As with any player who is his team's #1 player: you are going to have some good and bad days at the office. Delly has very few bad days...

^^^Spot on LC^^^. Delly has very few bad days. Bigs that play with Delly must love playing with him. He is as good a lob pass on the run that I've seen. Rightfully so Delly is starting to attract interest within the NBA for how is going about things playing for St Mary's in his final year of College. There are worst guards playing in the NBA right now than Delly!
