Half Court Shot Rules in NBA

It appears the Atlanta Hawks had a similar situation to the Hurls incident.

The Shot

However I don't the this fan would have gone to his nearest news station to complain if he didn't get his money on the spot.

He stepped over the line too... He'll get the money, it's not like the Hawks can't afford $1000...

Rules are different in the USA in terms of competitions etc!

Insurance for the iinet shot is underwrittern via an agent/underwrtier of Lloyds of London.

The US would do it directly with a US based insurer.

I just found it amusing that it was a similar situation where the ball was wedged etc.

The wedged ball was the only similarity, differences being:

1 .. Court announcer pulled net, & the ball dropped through the net.

2 .. The decision to allow the payment was made on the spot.

3 .. He clearly stepped over the line, but that wasn't an issue.

Guessing here, but more than likely he left the venue with cash in hand, or a valid cheque, so he wouldn't have had the need to go to a current affairs show.

As others have said, that prize money would be small change in their league, & it was crap $US too. ; )
