Pledger wins NBL POTW for Round 23

Few reasonable options this week, but who will they pick?

Abercrombie had 24 points but only scraps in his other stats.
Pledger had 22/12/2 in a 114-84 win.
Webster had 23 but also scraps otherwise.

Tigers had 20+ from Goulding in both games, but went 0-2 on the road. Greer had 15 and 14 in the second game.

Nothing outrageous in the Cairns-Adelaide or Perth-Cairns games.

Crocs won at home, but no one topped 13 points. Ervin's 13 and eight assists might've been best.

Deleon again? Crucial game and had 25/6/3.

Might be between Deleon and Pledger? Tigers were down Flynn, but Pledger still had Scott, Ballinger and Burston to contend with.

(Mod: Updated. It's Pledger.)

Deleon, But as he is carrying his team game to game, performances like that are to be expected out of him with their depleted line up. Its a tough role he has to step into. Might not make the POTW.

Alex Pledger gets it. Back-to-back POTW, shouldering more load in the absence of Will Hudson.

Fresh from two impressive performances in Round 22, Pledger picked up where he left off, dropping 22 points on 9-of-14 shooting and grabbing 12 rebounds in the Breakers convincing 114-84 demolition of the Melbourne Tigers on Thursday night.

The win - the Breakers 16th consecutive victory – was the perfect way for the two-time defending NBL Champions to celebrate a third-straight minor premiership and put a big dent in Melbourne's finals hopes.

Breakers’ teammates Thomas Abercrombie (24 points on 9-of-13 shooting) and Corey Webster (23 points on 9-of-11 shooting) also cashed in, enjoying great shooting performances.

Despite the loss to the Breakers and a narrow defeat at the hands of Townsville in Round 23, Chris Goulding stepped up in the absence of Jonny Flynn to score 22 points and 26 points in the two road games.

Adris Deleon inspired Wollongong with 25 points and six rebounds in the vital 81-74 win over Sydney, while Darnell Lazare had 17 points (8-of-14) and 10 rebounds for the Kings in the same game.

He started great, had a mid-season slump, and is back playing very well again. Overall, his season averages of 11 & 7 in 22mins are pretty impressive.
