Madgen wins Most Improved Player
Liked Goulding for this one, but Madgen stepped up for the Kings.

Often MIP is given to a player whose production has increased mostly due to increased minutes and opportunity. Madgen's elevation to one of the NBL's elite guards is due to genuine improvement. Well deserved winner.

I think it was a 2-horse race and MAdgen is certainly a worthy winner

To give an example of how good Madgen's effort leading the league in scoring is, only three other Aussies have ever done it (Gaze, Rillie, Nielsen) and only another seven or so have ever been in the competition's top three scorers.
Considering some of the gun imports in the league atm, Madgen's effort is brilliant and a big improvement on a player who struggled for large parts of last season (under 12p at 39% his first 20 games).

Madgen took a quantum leap while Goulding was more of a natural progression given being another year older, and extra responsibility with a new, struggling team.
Madgen clear no 1 for me. The guy was runner up MVP and only last year he wasn't even considered in any opposition scouting reports. That says it all.
