Please tell me ONE thing Keneally has done for BA?

Since she has come on board I have seen no improvements to BA or the NBL whatsoever.

All I hear is crap about how high the participation numbers are, which means nothing, because clearly, a majority of these people aren't watching NBL on TV or attending games.

I'm sick of her. Please let's put someone in charge that takes action, not just talks all the time.

"...not just talks all the time."

I've never actually heard he speak about basketball, unless its a gender issue.

We need someone like Michael Slepoy or Nick Marvin running the league in this country

She was obviously used for her PR skills, ironically however for the 6 months prior to her appointment she was one of the most maligned women in the murdoch Sydney media.

Hey, Back off-- Don't expect miracles!
She was a politician after all and they have a guaranteed 4 year term and only make statements in the last few months of their term.

Perhaps it's a case of "If you've got nothing sensible to say, keep quiet"!

Pity

She got the Virgin Lounge for the WNBL finalists.
Something the guys have all season, every season.
I was embarrassed for basketball when that was sent in an email, a media announcement.

Paraphrasing some quotes from when she was named CEO.

Justin Milne (CEO Search Committee)
[There was a] "...an extremely competitive field of candidates to choose from...[but] the Board felt Kristina [is the] COMPLETE PACKAGE...leadership skills...and excellent communication abilities.

"Her national profile...energy and her passion for the sport, will give basketball a SIGNIFICANT BOOST in Australia."

Acting CEO/BA Board member Scott Derwin
Said the move was yet another coup for BA.

“KK has MORE than proven her worth to BA during her short time as Chair [and we're] EXTREMELY IMPRESSED with how much she's done to take the organisation in a NEW direction."

“There’s no BETTER time to be involved in Australian Basketball.

“The sport has moved forward in LEAPS AND BOUNDS over recent years, and the Board looks forward to seeing Kristina BUILD on that success.”

Thanks KK. For Nothing!

^^^^Anon....exactly the point.

This rhetoric was churned out when she was appointed.

This is resume tick for her to move on somewhere else down the track.

She leave with a smile and similar press friendly sound bites to make everyone feel warm and fuzzy.

Like Nero she's fiddling while Rome burns!

The elevation of one or the other has even been privately considered, should the "save-the-Crocodiles" bid fail, reducing the NBL to seven clubs.

"It's a big ask," Keneally said of new clubs coming into the NBL.

"The Brisbane bid is good, but one, it needs more financial backers, and two, it needs a venue.

"The Melbourne bid's model is very sound but there are equity issues."

Common guys being a little harsh here.

She has brought to our attention the Opals flying economy (after they blew their budget on numerous tours the men didn't have)

And how can we got forget getting the WNBL players in the virgin lounge.

ALL WORLD BEATING ISSUES!!!

The crocs and other teams going under are no where near as pressing than an OJ in the Virgin Lounge!
