Camino signs with Sydney Uni Flames

The Southern Design Sydney Uni Flames have signed experienced scoring guard Renae Camino for the 2012/13 WNBL Season.
Camino, who possesses WNBL career averages of 14 points and six rebounds per game and has represented the Opals, will provide athleticism and another proven scoring option for the Flames.

The 177cm guard is a proven winner - Camino as part of last season's WNBL Championship winning team the Bendigo Spirit. She was also a key performer in the Adelaide Lightning's defeat of the Flames in the 2008/09 WNBL decider. She has played 147 games in the WNBL over seven seasons, as well as playing in three other major leagues around the world - US, Italy and France.

Camino is racking up the WNBL clubs now! If I'm correct Adelaide, Logan, Bendigo & Sydney. That probably says a lot really. Apparently didnt like Bernie's coaching style in Bendigo & the role that Bernie defined for her her off the bench.

Never played in the US. At her best when given the green light. Never had that in Bendigo but may well rack up good numbers in Sydney if KD frees her up from a lot of structure.

As for the clubs she has played for(you missed the AIS SamCro) only the Bendigo departure may have been due to coach issues.

Adelaide 1st WNBL paid gig. GF MVP I believe.
Logan Moved as close as possible to BF who was at the Blaze.
Bendigo?
Left to move to Sydney. BF, now fiancé, plays for Kings.
So what are you saying exactly when you say "that probably says a lot really"

Have been a fan of Camino's over the years but her best is past her and the game has moved on. She used to be sensational on the break and a terror on the wing.

Well said TMK ^^^ - As for FSTOS the only problem with you argument is that Camino wanted to desperately play for the Fire under Coach Lucas but the Fire went with the younger & better option (IMO)with Cummings, so that blows apart the theory of playing closer to her fiance.

SamCro - actually it doesn't. you may find that this year her fiancé was going to play wherever she got a contract. They have that arrangement, this year it is 'her turn'
