Geelong will destroy Bendigo. Geelong could play NBL.

Geelong could play NBL, but would be beaten every week by a lot.

Geelong all over the Bandits today. They are a very good team but AW is just terrible. The new imports seem OK but the team just doesn't link up at ether end of the court and play like a bunch of strangers. Geelong looking very tight.

Is this the same Supercats that wouldn't play against their hometown rivals Corio Bay in case it ruined their rep? The game for was for charity too.

The same Stingrays who advertised the game without approval from the charity or asking Supercats if the scheduled date was suitable to their well planned pre-season schedule? Time to move on already Stingrays.... This discussion is about SEABL teams not your ridiculous grudges

Agree Geelong with good depth.
Bendigo, might just struggle against bigs.
Ballarat, not played much together, maybe very good, lack one big.
Gambier, pretty good unit, not to be underestimated.

Clubs are starting to realise the importance of a good point guard.

Hobart is shaping up as a team to watch too & were very unlucky to lose to Bendigo on the weekend. They play Albury next which should keep them in the top 2 in the south conference.

HO, the story goes Stingrays asked the Supercats board to have an exhibition game at the Arena (biggest capacity) for a charity. Their board said yes we can do that but once they asked Jamie they said no they couldn't.

It would be the biggest basketball event in town, would be a sell out and for a great cause.

Imagine Stingrays v Supercats (Big V vs SEABL). Williams v Wilson, Reardon v Herbert, Hicks v Cannon, Norton v Owusu etc etc.

Maybe next year if it suits the Supercats.

my understanding is the request came very late in the preseason, with a press release going out saying the game was on before it had been agreed to. I could be wrong on the details bit if correct then that seems to be putting the cart before the horse. I know that Ringwood played Geelong over the last few years so it would seem a possiblity in the future if it were to be arranged and comminicated in a timely manner.

So the stingrays / supercats isn't related to the SEABL round 9 convo at all.
Back on topic its ineteresting to see the Supercats beat the AW side with a comment of but the team just doesn't link up at ether end of the court and play like a bunch of strangers.
There is a reason for that. They are a bunch of strangers.

Never would have expected Bandits to beat Spectres - that was a huge upset but it looks like the Spectres did have some starters missing.

The Pioneers smashed the Gunners - looked more like a training run and should be finals contenders barring some major form slump.

Knox welcome back CJ but he could not quite lift the Raiders over the Sabres & Miners in two close losses - in time they will get these close ones if he remains fit.

Bendigo keep going from strength to strength as they now starting to gel and Geelong are going to finish on top thats for certain.
