Big win by Cats over Knox in OT, tough game but we got there in the end, we got a bit lucky with the refs but hey, we've had it go against us too so we'll take it!

Seems it is turning into a three team race between Mt Gambier, Geelong and Bendigo for the title. Although a long way to go with the number of home games the Pioneers have remaining they are looking good for the South Conference Championship.

bendigo at Mt gambier in a couple of weeks will be a great game. will tell us a lot about how these teams stack up with Geelong having beaten both of them already

You'd have to think it's going to be Mt Gambier in the south conference with only Hobart looking likely to challenge them. Geelong seem to have the wood on everybody but Bendigo seems to be improving.

Yeah, good win by the Supercats in OT, but you have to admire Knox.

The Raiders are still going to be tough opposition for all other teams if they can keep their best 5-7 players fit, healthy and on the court...

Still early though, and injuries may play a big part in post regular season games, it did last year!

The South does look a race in 2 (Hobart & Pioneers) - Only team that might challeange those 2 is Nunawading if they can get a full squad on the park which is yet to happen this year, but if they can get it together you never know!

It's a very even competition when you have the top team in the East conference being taken to OT by the bottom team in the South. No game can be taken for granted this year.

I wouldn't count anyone out just yet, across 16 teams all are capable of winning from top to bottom.

Its a VERY competitive season.

My Round 10 wrap up here - http://andthefoul.net/archives/6167

Both conferences still very tight. This weekend should be interesting before we head into the mid-season break.

Round 11 coming up is also the Breast Cancer Awareness round, with a lot of clubs jumping on board and doing some great stuff in it's first year of being an "official" Round.

Albury/Wodonga's two new imports both looked good in their first home game.

Jenkins went down with severe cramp in his calf in the last quarter which hurt them.

Whitfield played well too and looks like a good replacement for Momo Ntumba.

Might have left their run too late but they definitely look better with a point guard who looks to pass as well as score.

Translation: Albury's imports looked good... it's the rest of the team that is ordinary.

Bandits are a competitive side now. Jazz's initial replacement / selection was wrong. Shame the coach wont admit that.
Hobart belted the Pioneers on their home court a few weeks ago. Can they replicate that form in the Ice House? I think that Pioneers weekend away the Chargers have a triple. Tough gig.

The Pioneers have kick started a run of 7 home games in a row with a confidence-boosting 21 point win over NW Tassie. I feel sorry for the Thunder who played 3 games in 3 days and a record of 1-2 for the weekend (NBA-like). The Pioneers were much better than NWT offensively and they had mutliple guys score double figures. Just getting the job done at the moment the Pioneers and trying to build a team atmosphere and momentum to try and reach the finals for the first time in 7 years.
