Bartlett released after only one year of his three year contract! Does Perth have to pay the entire contract out, and if so does it count towards salary cap?
1 year into his 2 year contract.
In saying that I never really understood why the Wildcats gave him a 2 year deal in the first place.
This is actually good news, These things don't happen for no reason. I would expect some new signings very shortly along with a coach

Releasing Bartlett who is a 4 point player means a DP can be contracted at 1 point, a returning college player or the like can sign at 3 points leaving 2 x 10 point positions for imports
If Gleeson is signed Damian Martin will be the next one released. Look at what he did to Homicide who was the GOAT Townsville player.
Roger makes a good point. It looks like they are making room for 2 imports (hopefully Dunigan?) will be a thin bench

Bartlett definitely showed signs he could contribute but those signs were too far between
my question is why change all the players unless u have some idea who is going to be coach

for a total of 46, 2 imports make 66, Ellis 3. Would leave a spot for backup rookie 1pt.

In hindsight I can't believe this wasn't discussed as a possibility given how much sense it makes for Perth.
Never rated him as a player. Not sure what Perth were smoking when they signed him for 2 years. Need a SG who can shoot - Massingale would be a good replacement.

2x 10pt imports, 1x 3pt college (Ellis), 1x 1pt promotion (Gavin Field)
or
1x 10pt import, three backups between 14 pts
Deba George no thanks think Gavin field, trian ilidas ,Ben purser or another young local would be a better choice imo.

Dunigan would be awesome for us, But a thin bench as mentioned. Also would love to see Cody follow in dads footsteps.
I'd like them to look at Bairstow if he was available. He looks the goods!

Hopefully Bairstow stays for his Senior year.
Given his steady improvements and nice stats from this past season, it is likely that he could really put up a nice stat line next season at New Mexico.

Yeah, Bairstow's a good kid, I think LC said he would surprise people in this Boomers series and he has. Would be a good pick up at 3pts but so close to finishing college he may be tough to get.
