Next Generation

Just noticed that there were 2 Aussie players in the Next Generation team at Addidas Eurocamp last week.
I think Dante Exum would have been in as well if he wasn't resting due to an injury.

Dejan Vasiljevic 1997 Australia PG 6'2 Victoria
Pablo Perez 1997 Spain PG 5'11 Valencia
Novak Music 1998 Serbia PG/SG 6'2 Svezdera M-Invest
Tadas Sederkeskis 1998 Lithuania SG 6'7 Klaipeda
Acoydan McCarthy 1999 Spain SG 6'4 Gran Canaria
Borisa Simanic 1997 Bosnia SG/SF 6'7 Buducnost
Dragan Bender 1997 Croatia SF 6'9 KK Split
Abiola Akintola 1997 Australia SF 6'4 Diamond Valley Eagles
Romaric Belemene 1997 Congo SF/PF 6'9 Unicaja Malaga
Jules Rambaut 1997 France PF 6'7 INSEP
Romain Poinas 1998 France PF/C 6'7 Marseille
Jacob Larsen 1997 Denmark PF/C 6'9 Virum
Ilya Karpenkov 1997 Russia C 6'8 Khimki

Does anyone have info on Dejan Vasiljevic and Abiola Akintola.

Dante is born in '95, I don't think he is eligible for this...

In addition to Exum, Broekhoff was also there, both in the older group. Unfortunately Dante did not participate due to injury.

Vasiljevic and Akintola are part of U18 Victoria Metro team, which won the Nationals recently, and being bottom age players, they may come back next year. They also represented Australia in the FIBA Oceania Youth Championship and played together for U16 Vic Metro, the Nationals champions, in 2012. Vasiljevic is with Melbourne Tigers (U18 and BigV YL) and Akintola is at AIS, played previously for Diamond Valley. I guess more info can be found on the web.

It is fairly impressive for a 16 year old to come back from an overseas camp and a couple days later drops 65 points in what seemed very important games for YL Tigers.
