Breakers GM tipped to run Auckland Blues
The Auckland Blues want the New Zealand Breakers GM Richard Clark to run the Super Rugby Teams Franchise and he has apparently notified the Breakers Owners of his interest in this new role.
He has been with the Breakers for over a decade and is on paper the top Franchise Manager in New Zealand Sport with a great track record especially surrounding off court drama's with player sackings and suspensions for alcohol and drug use. He also helped recruit star signings such as CJ Bruton & Kirk Penney and presided over Andrej Lemanis's tenure.
The Breakers are now considered the bench mark for all sporting franchises in New Zealand.
With 3 titles in the bag and the youth development academy producing young talent for the clubs future I guess he feels he may be ready to move on to new challenges.
