Nathan Jawai signs with Galatasaray in Turkey

Galatasaray Liv Hospital signed a one-year contract with Nathan Jawai with a one more year renewal option.

Born in Sydney in 1986 on October 10, Nathan Jawai is an Indigenous Australian. After trying several different sports including basketball, Jawai joined Midland College basketball team in Texas during his education. Back to his country he was signed by Cairns Taipans for the 2007-2008 season.

In the 2008 NBA Draft he was selected 41st overall in the second round by Indiana Pacers but hired to Toronto Raptors in Canada followed by Minnesota Timberwolves where he performed his first best NBA game with 16 points and 6 rebounds against Portland Trail Blazers.

During the 2010-2011 season Jawai was with BC Partizan Belgrade and made his debut in the Euroleague Top 16. The following season he was signed by Unics Kazan and reached to the playoffs. In the previous basketball season Nathan Jawai played for FC Barcelona and this time experienced the Final Four of the Euroleague.

Jawai has also been a member of the Australia national men's basketball team since 2005.

Really would like to see him back in the Association. Seems to be a step back in his career. Maybe he just wants to post numbers against the weaker frontcourts of Turkey.

the Association ???? you mea the NBA? Maybe he just wants more minutes to be able to post better numbers in the Euroleague! If can get and stay as fit as he was for most of this past season, he has a chance to do well.
