I've thought for the last 5 or so years that Farley as a naturalised person could have been a player on the 36ers roster, albeit a cheaper player.

As a naturalised player he would be very valuable. Even as an import on a team with good Aussie talent so he could play fewer minutes to save his older legs. Dont know the background though, has he wanted a gig here?

Yes, always wanting a gig.

Frye is really easy to like as a fan. Couple of dunks, works hard, not cocky. Ervin and Gibbo playing hard which is good to see.

Stats seem to show Tuck has still got it - player coach next year?

Still think that the biggest stuff up the Sixers made was letting him go after we won the championship. Throwing a lot of money at Paul Rogers sounded great in theory but it was a bad move in the end. Charles Thomas made some nice plays but he was no Farley. 6ers would've won at least another title or two had Farley stayed.

Yeah at 38 Farley is still a phenomenal athlete. I enjoyed seeing him play again tonight. Can he actually play as an Aussie now or not? Would be a great guy to bring off the bench if he didn't cost too much dollars or points wise.

He was obviously a 10 a few years back, but how do the NBL decide what to rate him as a 38 year old who still has plenty of ability?

For those who were able to be there, a bit of a review on how the players went? Particularly Frye (Tyndale type dud who played well in the Pasadena game v Wollongong and failed from then on, or looking genuinely good for our roster?), Teys, Anthony etc.

Was also at the game, man Farley still does have it, would have loved to see him as a cheap import last season, would have been better than most of the ones we have had the last 4 or 5 years right now. Was great to see him again. Would love to see him in the NBL again, he has that Copeland type body/game where he can play for ever. Pity he isnt a naturalised Aussie!

Agree with wishing we hadnt broken up the 2002 team to get Rogers, Cat, CT, but can see how they were tempted to do it at the time aswell. Could have had a real dynasty with the young line up and chemistry they had.

Agree with Isaac re Frye, a bit of a Dave Thomas type of player, seemed to be very unselfish and a good athlete, dont remember seeing him shoot from the perimiter so not sure what he is like, but if that is a weakness its good he doesnt force it and plays to his strengths.

Like the look of the starting 5 when they were on together, Ervin and Gibson seem to play well together and complement each other, really looking forward to this season.

Thankfully we've already signed both of our imports otherwise the sign Willie Farley talk would start up again like it has every year since HSH in 2010.

Awesome battle between Farley and Frye.
between those 2 more personality and charisma than all the others put together. Both are finisher types of similar size, Frye is pretty quick though.

The new blond guard is a pretty good shooter,
and BJ is really scrappy and we all like that effort stuff.

Teys thats his name.
Seemed to hit a good percentage of outside shots, and also has good defensive pride.

Mind you the whole team seems more aggresive and defensive minded under Joey Wright. Joey certainly likes his pressure defense.

Best thing about the game was seeing Creek back on court.

Is Pasadena getting a Dominos outlet?

Agreed Isaac, Creek was my fav player last season, was so sad to see him get hurt, so glad he seems to have recovered and not skipped a beat.

After a couple of nervous shots early, Teys did look decent shooting it from outside. If he can bring that quality to the team on a regular basis it will be valuable as we don't have a lot of outside shooting.

I liked what I saw from Frye tonight. Seemed to have a nice all-around game, but will wait to see how he handles NBL opposition before I get too excited.

Creek looked good, handling the ball quite well in the open court and showing improved agility to snake past defenders to the rim I thought.

Ervin was great going to the basket. He has such a quick first step and just explodes towards the rim.

Liked Adam Doyle's game. He's super quick and made some nice plays on both ends. Which state league team does he play for?

Adam Doyle plays for the Forestville Eagles.

Good to hear about Creek, I loved him last season and was highly disappointed when he got injured.

When Frye shoots from range, it will go in.

Nice to see a Sixers team keep the pedal down and take a big win, regardless of the opposition. When was the last time that happened?

I like Doyle 2, if he wasn't on the sixers development list he would have been point for the all star team. But if he is serious about playing nbl he needs to go find himself a seal team and prove he can play in a better league first. Lets face it, our state league isn't the strongest going around

Farley showed all the doubters that over the last 5 years or so, he should have got another shot.

Agree Doyle is an NBL player but disagree he has to go to SEABL..

He is in an NBL program now...Just needs to keep improving and taking the opportunities presented to him like last nights game..

This kid will make it based on his desire & willingness to work on his game..
