Don't think Tom is happy! Maybe it's the travel or jetlag, but Melbourne Boomers did the work early to grab the Lead and didn't let China back in.

That doesnt surprise me, both our men's and women's leagues are very good and our top teams competitive with international teams outside the top couple of tiers, and without Miao Lijie and Ma Zengyu I dont think China are quite in that category.
Great effort by the Boomers, suggests they will be very competitive this year.
Did both imports play? I know Amber has been playing but has the clearance for import #2 gone through?
Add into the mix Jarry and the Boomers will be very competitive.
what was the crowd like ? Many there as the game was not promoted at all.
Not sure how it came about, it certainly wasn't promoted by Basketball Australia some of the local associations in Melbourne promoted it. I know Ringwood, Eltham, Diamond Valley and of course Bulleen promoted it. I even saw some Knox people there. Probably arranged through the link between Tom Maher and Bulleen.

Maroondah was absolutely full for what was a great game. Good to see the Melbourne Boomers taking their game to some of the non-traditional associations around the place. Looks like they are truly embracing their new catchment area.
