36ers name four development players

Locals Warbout and Doyle plus Adnam from Victoria (blonde kid seen in the Pasadena scrimmage) and Sims from QLD.

The Adelaide 36ers have named four quality development players for the 2013/14 season which kick off in Perth on Friday night. They are Jan Warbout, Adam Doyle, Kyle Adnam and Daniel Sims.

Jan Warbout, 22, who was a develpoment player last season, is local from the Sturt Basketball Club. Jan (pronounced Yon), has just finished a successful stint in the SEABL with the Mt Gambier Pioneers. A forward with a good outside shot, Jan averaged 6.2 ppg and 4 rpg for the Pioneers.

Adam Doyle, 21, is a talented guard from the Forestville Eagles. Standing only 176cm tall, what he lacks in height, he makes up for in speed and skills, averaging 18.6 ppg and 4 apg in another championship season with the Eagles.

Kyle Adnam, 19, came over from the Kilsyth Cobras in Victoria to trail with the 36ers and immediately impressed coach, Joey Wright with his ball handling skills and speed. Kyle averaged 12.8 ppg for the Cobras and is excited about his opportunity as a DP with the 36ers.

Daniel Sims, 21, comes to Adelaide from Queensland and is an atheletic guard who can score and defend. In 2009, Daniel averaged 32.6 ppg for the Queensland U/18's side and is a player with enormous potential.

Joey has put together a talented group of DP's who will not only push the guys at training, but can make the step up to the next level should they be called on during the season.

Doyle needs to go to SEABL if he wants to take the next step

Maybe the 36ers will have one ?

Kyle Adnam probably could have gotten a game with Kilsyth's senior SEABL team (not youth league) if he is good enough to be a DP in the NBL....

Haven't seen him play, but how can a guy who averages only 6 points and 4 boards in state league get given a development spot?

Kilsyth don't play their D-League guys in the SEABL, they haven't for a while. Could possibly be something to do with the D-League coach.

Adnam is legit, just tiny and slight. He was big time in guiding Kilsyth to the VYCM Championship this year. Was VYCM MVP also.

"Kyle Adnam, 19, came over from the Kilsyth Cobras in Victoria to _trail_ with the 36ers..."

Unfortunate slip. I hope for most of this board's sake that it isn't prophetic.

Sims played in the QLD SBL formerly called the development league and he would have been somewhere in the top 5 players in that league. But this is a huge step up for him but in saying that he might just make it if given the chance there is no doubt he can shoot
