What are west 12 girls like?

Are their 14 boys good this year as were poor last year?

West's div1 U12G finished 7/8, from memory.

Their U14G div2 team was pretty impressive: 3 girls were tall, big and were quite adept as using their size, guards were quick but played under control. Not sure how many of them were top/bottom age kids but they should at least be competitive with Forestville/Sturt/Mavs. We shall see.

Maybe ask South who wanted to leave because they had to fun around an oval carrying bricks rather than getting better at basketball.

Centrals should look good, that group dominated 14's two years ago. Sturt will challenge. Good to see what other clubs compete in that competition.

Sturt have taken 1 from Southern, one from South clearly as stated. I think another not sure where he was from for the boys 16's and heard a couple left Sturt also. People peeved Sturt don't develop they squeeze out the current players with their recruits :P

With the holier than thou attitudes from South and Southern, I assume they didn't accept any players from other clubs?
South in particular may be being massively hypocritical!

I think alot of the talk on here lately is South trying to capitalise on the Sabres' strength across their program.

Less and less spots in div 1/2 for players at sturt means that players that aren't prepared to work hard, develop and earn their spots with better coaching, training with better players and in a more successful environment at Sturt may be looking to move on just to play a higher grade, sacrificing their development. Short term fix vs long term development. Rather than work hard, develop and let actions do the talking I think the panthers would prefer to market their "opportunities" through an annonymous forum. Just my guess, from the outside, looking in.......

It's not about accepting players from other clubs - they all do. It's more about targeting players from other clubs at state training!
Would like to see you defend that one!

All clubs run open trials state the obvious that a player rocks up from another club to play the club won't say no - although I'd knock back a player who seems to club hop because he's no real guarantee to create a core foundation for div/age.

Reality is your method of cutting down the competition early by poaching "best players" really doesn't look good esp if its at the cost of a true Sturt Junior, which is what appears to be the cause/effect I'm hearing the rumblings through the grapevine.

Everyone knows that 7 of the district clubs are feeder competition to Sturt Forestville and Norwood.

It would a real interesting stat toknow how many current state/SASI players starting at another club have ended up at one of those three clubs

What's to defend? One of the players is from SA Country - so he would have attended zero metro trainings!
Sounds like South are up to some fair whining! Particularly when they have taken more U/16 boys from Sturt than they have lost to Sturt!

Human nature. Successful players/professionals/kids/people etc want to go to successful environments that will develop their success. Happens in every environment all over the world.

If clubs focus on why these players leave rather than complain about it, their problems would be solved. Therefore of course the better players and their parents will move to the more successful envrionments.

The HPM won't make any difference to people exercising their right to move to an environment that meets their needs/desires.

and human nature in 2 years time will find that there are only small opportunities for these players at U23 level with so many quality juniors and they will all want to return to other clubs.

Not the best ones. But yea the ones that aren't up for it will move onto an environment right for them. Very true.

Got to admire the staunch arrogance and deflection, constantly reaffirming that only the BEST will remain and be retained at/by Sturt while second rate players who try their luck will skulk back to other clubs eventually.

14 Forestville boys should definitely dominate, not sure about the girls.
18 boys - North were pretty good two years ago so they should be around the mark (reckon they may have even finished top after minor rounds). West will need significant improvement from two years ago to be around the mark, but it's quite possible as they have definitely brought in some better talent since then.

answer to original question.

look out for the refs when you play sturt. They are the ones cowering in the corner that have been intimidated and bullied by coaches.
