We need to sign Sapa

I have added this to a thread but thought it worthy of its own discussion.

Sapa has played or trained with all of the players currently signed to the sixers bar Dusty.

He gives maturity, leadership and heart off the bench and adds spark to the training sessions.

He would also fill the role of mentoring the fringe rookies and getting them NBL tough for future sesons ala Illman.

Plus he could also taken Darren to Maccas and make him put some weight and bulk on.

Management need to sign him to a 1 year deal with option.

No, a player can play at another club if his contract has been paid out.

The pay out is basically severance pay, same as if you were dismissed from your job on the spot, you would be entitled to a certain payment "in lieu" of notice.

If that's the case, I stand corrected (or it should be sit corrected - who stands in front of their keyboard?).

Flippin' heck - just sign Sap then. There shouldn't be any bickering about it. If they can't get him, get after another veteran like Vandenbergh (see other post).
