Where are the South Aussies (( If Robert Colton stayed in SA he more than likely wouldn't be involved either. What SA girls got selected?

Dissapointing but not surprisinng that only one SA girl can make the U17 squad after SAM finishd 2nd and SAC 3rd at the recent u16 Nationals ?????

How the hell does not 1 member of the NSWC Boys U16 Nationals winning team make the Squad? Could easily have had 4-5 of them in there...

Silly yet not surprising that not 1 member of the Gold (NSWC), Silver (NSWM) or Bronze (VIC Metro) U16 teams from Nationals made the squad (besides those already in it)

It's not that suprising - they are considered bottom-aged for the 17 WC squads. It is a huge year in physical and basketball development - particularly for boys - so not that suprising that the players a year older predominantly fill up both squads.

4-5 bottom agers from 1 team? LOL. They had 2 guys who would be close - and one of them would be vastly undersized.

@ Anon - I see your point but hard to disagree with "Phobos 15". 4-5 from 1 team is a bit of a stretch but having watched a few of NSWC games, either of their starting PG, PF or C wouldn't be out of place in my opinion...

@ Barry... the U17 squad is mostly players from the U17 age group - those that were top age at U16 nationals LAST YEAR. there are roughly 5-6 players that were top age from this years U16 nationals

What surprsing is that 3 qld girls not in the u17 Oceania squad are all back in the Development program again.
Top scorer in the last 2 girls Nationals from SA metro has gone all together.

Also noticed that Daryl White is out but the little brother is still in.

i think you will find injury kept sone of those Qld girls out of the running for the Oceania tournament but they are back to fitness, hence the inclusion now.
