Pace over Abercrombie and those three teams are spot on for me.

I'd probably put either of Mitch Creek and/or Lucas Walker ahead of Wortho and Abercrombie.

Has/Will Matt Knight play enough games. He has been very good when he has played.

Creek's 8ppg and 4rpg and Walker's 7 and 7 are worthy of all NBL third team?

I was annon #450994

I actually went and had a look at some stats after posting (perhaps should have done so before).

Abercrombie is having a really great season shooting the ball (best of his career). He stays no doubt.

I guess I would just hope we get away from almost putting this list almost in order into the 3 teams

http://www.foxsportspulse.com/comp_info.cgi?client=0-189-0-276108-0&a=STATS&sgroup=scoring&sgstat=Av%20Pts

Based purely on stats Wortho should probably stay in as well although from just watching the games I really like what Walker and Creek bring to the table and smart teams should be making a run at either of those 2 players if they are out of contract.

What about if Wilkinson powers on?

Judging on yesterdays game, it looks like his fitness and shooting touch is back to the goods (after the layoff he had before joining the Breakers).

He would have to rival Wortho.

Agree with Pace over Abercrombie.

Beyond Wilko, even someone like Conklin deserves a third team spot more than Wortho maybe?

I would have DJ in the First team in place of Redhage.

Should Goulding be passed over as most improved? I would put him forward before anyone else right now.

He has bumped up his scoring by almost 9 points a game on last season and in the space of 7 months has gone from "solid, if not a little unreliable" to Melbourne's go to guy and possible NBA prospect.

Wortho definitely not in the top three PFs in the league and I would put Walker ahead of him @ Melbourne. Walker my not yet have the stats but he plays hard all the time. Wortho looks like he's sleep walking most of the time and the rest of the time he's crying to refs.

1st Team:

Ogilvy
Vukona
Ennis (MVP)
Goulding
Martin (DPOY)

2nd Team:

Johnson
Redhage
Abercrombie
Clarke
Ervin

3rd Team:

Pledger (assuming he gets back to full health)
Young (would be higher but hasn't been in league long enough)
Pace
Beal
Markovic

In case anyone needed further proof: Rotnei Clarke is legit.

Season to date, I'm pretty similar to GRIFFINRONDOPIERCE23.

Knight, Pledger, Wilkinson, Wilson, McCamey, R Martin, K Johnson, Madgen, Markovic, Tragardh, Conklin and Worthington are guys who could potentially make a run on that third team in the second half of the year.

1st Team:

Ogilvy
Vukona
Ennis
Goulding (MVP)
Martin (DPOY)

2nd Team:

Johnson
Redhage
Pace
Clarke
Ervin

3rd Team:

Loughton
Young
Abercrombie
Beal
Gibson

Out of interest, in Europe they often determine their MVP by efficiency rating, here's how the NBL guys shape up on that so far this season (keep in mind it tends to be a little biased towards big guys):

Ennis 19.1
Ogilvy 17.9
Johnson 15.8
Goulding 15.6
Ervin 13.8
----
Clarke 13
Vukona 13
Martin 12.9
Pace 12.6
Loughton 12.4
----
Morrison 11.8
Knight 11.7
Worthington 11.7
Young 11.6
Blanchfield 11.1
----
Redhage 11
Walker 11
Holmes 10.7
Wilson 10.7
Gibson 10.5
Tragardh 10.5
Beal 10.2
Pledger 10.2
Wilkinson 10.2
Petrie 10.1

Nice observation paul, and good to see the efficiency ratings are fairly aligned with people's thoughts, at least for the first 2 teams. Realistically, we should only be talking about 1st and 2nd teams given it's only an 8 team competition.

Yeah, pretty close, then factor in Redhage is just outside and Abercrombie has been at 12 for the past two months after a slow start.

I'd have Conklin ahead of Worthington.

Just want to know what AJ has to do wrong to lose his 1st team spot to DJ or does everyone think he's a lock for it?

If Rotnei averages 30 for the rest of the season, do you think it would be enough to get 1st team as Damo and Goulding are near certainties so far this season

I think it's pretty even and could definitely change if form drops away/picks up. On recent form Id say AJ is slipping pretty quickly and DJ is making ground. Clarke is knocking loudly on the door and so is Ervin.
