Tassie hard to beat, even with a very young side.

@Baller, that Vic side will be hard to beat IMO. They appear to have many strengths, especially in scoring options and size.

They have some depth here and it appears they may be able to create some decent miss-matches to take adavntage of against most teams.

I expect NSW to be competative against this team, however if they don't stay with them in scoring pressure I think Vic will probably be the team to beat.

One of the Frolings is out of the QLD team , has hurt her knee. Watched them play last night against QLD South u18s squad. Looked okay , Wallace is in prime form , has reaaly improved her shot in the past few months.
Strong 5 but not much off the bench and that may hurt them.

Melbourne boy 0-1 in your prediction ;-) Vics beat Tassie by 16, despite having a 13-0 lead. Maybe Tassie not having same depth of competition took a while to settle?? Or did Vic relax?? shame this game wasn't later in tournament maybe.
Well done Vic boys.

Unfortunately Tas has done its dash in basketball for the forseeable future. No high performance program. Picking coaches that have had nothing to do with juniors or development programs and BTas is a disaster. Sounds like I am a bitching winging parent, that is because I am. Ten years of involvement in basketball here now over it, sick to death of the incompetence from the top of BTas. Feel sorry for those at the bottom giving it a crack. Back to AFL for the boys before its too late probably the best option. Sorry all! Had to vent, feel a tad better now.

Wouldn't write these Tassie boys off just yet - Vic reportedly played very well and I suspect Tas guys might prove tough for some other teams this week based on today's performance. Who knows with a better start what may have happened - but yes Vic look good.

Agree with JJ that the Tas boys could still do some damage. Unless the playoff format has chaned everyone is still a chance come the first cross over.

Would like any updates from Tas people there as on player talent they're still a shot.

Blagojevic - 6 of 6 for 3P, some fine shooting right there... seems like CoE has already had an impact :)

Blagogevic has always had a crack shot, nothing to do with cofe, hasn't been there long enough to give them credit, Wallis too though she's playing with more confidence now.
Team changes for Vic women, Collins and Theodore out Antoniadou and branccatisano in.
Sherf and Antoniadou are wnbl team mates with dandenong rangers and un19 Australian team mates so good pairing if they get used together I'd think definitely two young guns to watch for the women.
