Jonathon Goodman , if he gets the gig we all may as well Quit the game as the only ones that will be under him are the ones that feather his pockets.
Many of Girls have been overlooked by him and his MATES ,great girls are leaving the game because of HIM.
He Needs to open his eyes not his pockets.

I don't know who mentioned John but he is not the coach. Paul Goriss is the head coach and the assistants haven't been appointed yet

John has done enough at stuffing the under 16 level ,but still he has tryouts in under 20's and half the girls that did not tryout made the team hahahahaha good work Johno .
He and his behind door mates should open there eyes, there are better girls that deserve the chance and do beat the girls he picks time and time again , WAKE UP OPEN YOUR EYES .
That is one the reason why girls are leaving Basketball ,
please don't let Johno wreck basketball Aust.

Jonno has stuffed things greatly, His record at winning nationals is good yes but a it don't take much when your coaching Vic Metro with their depth! OMG, the kids who are left out would be competitive as well,

He's the Teflon man - nothing sticks and he gets away with it some how!

thank god he hasn't been able to moved to the national,

What a silly thread - I think people should lay of JG. He's one of the 10000 coaches who support the game. Even if he furnishes his pocket give some credit for the years he has spent trying to make kids better.
If your kid missed out/or has in the past move on.
The sport needs more coaches and less try hard commentating experts with no qualifications a life living through their kids!
This shouldn't be about JG. It should be about Gems team and who's coaching.
JG has done enough time to earn my respect. I don't have to like him but I can respect his dedication and countless hours coaching kids.
Lets focus on important stuff!

not every coach with a super star team wins at the Nationals, just look at the the one a few seasons ago. She lost with a very strong team but then again she cant coach anyway and should NEVER have got the gig.

I'm not a JG fan...

however some of the comments posted in this forum are a joke... clearly from disgruntled parents or jealous coaches etc. who have not had the success and opportunities which JG has.

Yes he has been a part of big successful programs all the time and hence had good results e.g. tigers, vic metro.

If he does get the gig good on him, if not hopefully its someone else who is deserving... I think people need to lay off the personal insults and criticisms especially without identifying themselves.
