Wollongong Hawks vs New Zealand Breakers

Big match for both teams here...probably lose and out for the loser. Tiggs is out apparently, so hopefully my Breakers will pull out a victory!

Breakers are shooting almost every perimeter shot short, it's like they left their legs in Auckland!

If it were just CJ, you could make the case that he's so old he had amnesia and forgot them at the hotel. Damn he's looking old, poor bugger.

Spoiler alert

Down 64-69 and mounting a run and Cj and mika bail the hawks out with cheapies then corey webster turns the ball over proving why he cannot be the pg! Disgrace!

Also 26 fouls to 13- are you serious?

Terrible crowd.

Dodgy refereeing. Breakers are getting murdered by the refereeing.

With that being said, we are not helping ourselves by throwing up bricks from the perimeter.

29 fouls to 16 is ridiculous! No Tiggs though, we should have been better!! MUST beat adelaide...not confident at all!

Breakers looked a shambles. Once they fell behind Kiwis start whining about the foul count. comprehensively out played and out coached. Abercrombie looked scared to do anything. Wilkinson not given many open looks and only Vukona on the boards and inside kept the in the game.

I think youll find us Kiwis acknowledge that we played terribly and didnt deserve to win anyway.

The refereeing is no excuse whatsoever.

But it was absolutely terrible tonight.

CJ is on his last legs.

He isnt adding anything to this team. Coach has to draw the line and adjust CJ's minutes based on how he is playing this season and not simply on what he has done in the past. (It almosts seems like he is getting so much burn because of the fact that he is CJ Bruton - this attitude needs to change - but methinks it won't).

This Breakers team needs someone like a Webster more than a Bruton. We need players to penetrate seems and generate shot opportunities. (The need to penetrate the lanes more comes from the departure of Ced coupled by the fact that Johnson doesnt do it often enough).

Why do people expect the foul count to be equal?

The NBL just doesn't want NZ in the playoffs.

NZ have a bad habit of playing live by the 3 die by the 3 and it sounds like the dropped dead.
CJ's leadership unfortunately doesn't outweigh the cost of having an old man playing young men, in saying that I will be sad to see him retire as I doubt we ever would have won a championship without his valuable input.

I'll prob be supporting Perth in the playoffs this year.

CJ Bruton is the case of a tremendous player staying just that one year too many.

Has had a massive career but its time to pass the baton on.

Also, Gordie. Man you underestimate that guy at your peril. Thought they were stone cold dead when Tiggs went out but dat coach...

Gordie the best coach in the league yet with the most horrible luck injury wise. If he got a bit of a break imagine the possibilities.

CJ is embarrassing himself this season should have retired last year on a three peat. They were never going to win a fourth with Cedric gone.

Also re: Gordie & luck they win without Tiggs yet Kings stay ahead with the benefit of facing the worst Taipans performance this season. He can't catch a break.

Hope the Crocs can do them a favour tonight. Would be great for the Hawks to face the Kings in Rd 23 and still have a shot at the playoffs.

GO CROCS GO

Hawks 3-0 vs Kings and Heal has admitted Gordie has had it over him. The last game between the two Heal even said in an interview on camera pre game he doesn't know how to figure out Gordie. Like the honesty but wow maybe try and figure it out oh wait you're going to Wellington.
