american rules on travel

So I see 2 steps off a standing start to dunk - what exactly are the travel rules in USA? Also see perimeter shooters step to spot up don't get a look then dribble after spot up steps. We would call travel on these here.

Do you know the rules Mick? Since when can you take 2 steps and dunk after having both feet planted?

From what I can tell the Yanks allow a gather step, ie if you catch the ball just before you take the two steps they tend to let it go.

You can't have a stutter step with 2 feet planted on the floor.

They dunk more, no one wants to take that aspect away from the game over there, so they are more lenient...

You would need to show video of what you're referring to for this discussion to continue.

Sam Young has been called for numerous Travelling violations in the NBA which would no way be called in the NBA.
